Event Details

An intensive one-day workshop not for the faint-of-heart.

We will explore the vast and often elusive techniques that make these multi-use
cameras the choice for cinematographers, indie-filmmakers, corporate, event and wedding photographers.

From lenses-to-editing, this one-day primer will address that and everything else in-between.

Topics will include:
Lenses, sound recording, ISO, depth-of-field, follow-focus, environmental white-balance, f-stops, frame rates, camera set-up, CF cards, external monitoring, post-production, color-correction, third-party accessories and lighting for still and video.

INSTRUCTORS:

CHARLES KOELSCH  considers himself a “blue-collar” shooter/producer/director working in the day-to-day corporate and institutional area of video production and photography.
His wealth of experience encompasses the practical approaches to the imaging process, lighting, composition, and most importantly, the engagement of the people who sit in front of the camera.
His career began as a photojournalist and then as a photographer/videographer for a large hospital. His passion brought him to the marine and yacht industry which evolved into operating a commercial studio.
Presently, he continues to work as a freelance director, scriptwriter, shooter and visual storyteller for both national and international clients.
